Artist Statement
Take a moment and explore why I create.
My color and black and white photography portrays my journey as an artist in photography over the past 10 years and how I have adjusted my style and perspective of fine-art photography from being a simple photograph to an art form that will inspire your curiosity and share a story that your memory awakens, or take you on a journey to a place you have never been until now.
Influences include: Ansel Adams, Carleton Watkins, Charlie Waite, Bobby Wheat, Parvez S and Ralph Gibson.

Exhibiting over 30 pieces of fine-art July through October. Pieces include the popular “Never Ending Story”, “Once Afloat”, “Emigrants Fog”, “Bonsai Zen, “Keep Tahoe Cold” and “Snowy Pines”, as well many other new works and the release of Alignment, a book of photography by j.McCarthy.
